Structures Director Toby Ronalds looks at the embodied carbon for the buildings we design. From looking at the why, the how we’ve achieved low carbon design to the when in a project lifecycle input is needed and who we’ve worked with to benchmark the designs each part is broken down to explain the rational behind the decisions made. This leads the discussion to our existing building stock and adaptive design - how buildings can be appraised for their re-use merits rather than demolition.
