We will cover the latest products and materials and explore how collaboration between architects, consultants and manufacturers are helping create better designed, inspiring, award-winniing, sustainable and future-proof architecture that acknowledges the environment and works towards achieving a circular economy.
Featured speakers:
- Chloe Bullock, founder and RIBA author, Materialise Interiors, who will share insights from case studies in her new book, Sustainable Interior Design | RIBA Books, a holistic guide providing the key sustainability information on all sustainable approaches that every designer needs to know.
- Michael Lynas, owner, Boehm Lynas, who will deliver a case study presentation on The Arbour, 10 Carbon-negative, zero-waste and net energy positive houses in Walthamstow, London, with GS8 Developments.
- Tim Greensmith, architect, Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios, who will deliver a case study presentation on Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, repair and adaptive re-use of one of the most important buildings of the industrial revolution has delivered a low-carbon, mixed-use development and a catalyst for the economic regeneration of this area of Shrewsbury.
- Patrick Bradley, founder, Patrick Bradley Architects, who will deliver a case study presentation on Barneys Ruins, an old Irish Clachan, restored and converted with a modern twist, where both the old and the new seamlessly juxtapose, creating a small, yet unique barn conversion.
