The PiP Housing and Residential Development webinar sees RIBA Journal’s Jan-Carlos Kucharek host a RIBA author, leading architects and product experts who deliver informative presentations showcasing design and product expertise as well as award-winning, innovative and sustainable housing and residential development projects. For 2022, we host:
Ed Barsley, founder and director of The Environmental Design Studio (TEDS), who discusses Retrofitting for Flood Resilience. Ed runs the RIBA’s core CPD lecture series on flooding and his practice is an award-winning social venture with the aim of assisting communities to reduce impacts on the environment.

Steve Jones, project director at Coffey Architects, who presents a case study on award winning Moor’s Nook in Woking. Moor’s Nook has transformed a neglected industrial lot into a residential community for retirement living.

Dave Dickerson, director at DK Architects, who presents a case study on award winning The Gables housing scheme in Crosby. The Gables consists of 30 family houses with repetition of form and distinctive detailing form a strong scheme identity.

Kaori Ohsugi, director at Stanton Williams Architects, who presents a case study on the award-winning Eddington Key Worker Housing for Cambridge University staff. The scheme is supported by generous public realm – a network of courts and squares that create a transition from life in the city. Kaori's projects are acknowledged as a benchmark for sustainability and placemaking.
The webinar covers the latest products and materials and explores how collaboration between architects, consultants and manufacturers are helping create better designed, inspiring, sustainable and future-proof housing and residential development architecture that acknowledges health and wellbeing, sustainability and healthy building design.
