In June 2019 the UK stated that it will reach net zero C02 emission by 2050, we were the first nation to commit to this target the question is how do we get there? What technologies will we use to heat and cool our buildings, and how do we train enough people to make this target achievable.
Graham Wright is Daikin UK’s Legislation & Compliance Manager and now President of the Heat Pump Association. Graham is a mechanical engineer who has worked in the air conditioning industry for 35 years. He has project managed some of the largest chiller projects in London and worked in product marketing and engineering across Europe for 3 major AC manufactures. Graham is currently responsible for reviewing existing and pending EU and UK legislation appertaining to the heating air conditioning sector, specifically in Part L, BREEAM, and EN standards complete with the associated legal requirements within the industry. He also participates in industry groups with FETA, Heat Pump Association, BEMA, HPA, MCS, and HHIC., Graham also Chairs FETA AC Technical Committee, and is Vice President of the HPA.
