Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday 8th January 2025 (6:00pm - 7:30pm)

Webinar info:

To support the challenges of the supply chain for the coming floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) fabrication boom, Safier Ingénierie SAS is proposing various solutions.

Solutions to be discussed at this online event include:

ALFOWT® (Assembly Lines Floating Offshore Wind Turbine) - a floating independent port extension designed for the serial production of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) without using land space in ports. This solution is reusable, floating, and transportable to other ports at the end of a project. Environmentally, it minimises impact and is non-permanent. ALFOWT® operates independently, with no reliance on heavy-lift vessels or specialised equipment, and can be anchored either at the port or inshore. The technology is mature and ready to be deployed.

Omnidock™ - an industrial and cost-effective floating lifting structure with a capacity of 5,000-15,000+ tons. This solution enables the safe and rapid launching of heavy loads (such as FOWTs and ships) without ballast operations, and independent of tidal variations. It is adaptable to various projects, offering quick setup, easy transport between ports, and reduced port infrastructure planning. The technology is proven, independent, and compliant with international standards.

W²S™ - this system consists of a submerged longitudinal base that provides buoyancy and stability, connected to vertical column floats supporting mooring arms for FOWTs. These mooring arms can accommodate different FOWT sizes. It employs adaptable mooring systems based on site conditions. Its modular, reusable, and transportable design ensures a low environmental footprint, no visual intrusion and provides a solution for limited quay space.
