As part of our International Women's Day celebrations, Sharon Slinger FRICS CIWFM joined us to discuss her 20 year career in the construction industry and her more recent experience as Director of Constructing Rainbows, an equality, diversity and inclusion consultancy. Sharon was also joined 'in conversation ' by Architect and University of Nottingham lecturer, Alison Davies, followed by questions from the audience.

As Director of Constructing Rainbows, Sharon works with built environment organisations to improve their business through the implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies. With a background in quantity surveying, Sharon has experience working in the construction and facilities management industries for main contractors. She is co-founder and director of STEER Support & Mentoring CIC, founder of LGBT+ in Facilities Management (@LGBTinFM), a member of the Construction Industry Council Diversity and Inclusion panel and Yorkshire & Humber regional board.
