Projects in practice: office retrofit

CPD Events

Following the release of the recent NLA’s ‘WRK/LDN: Office Revolution’ report it has highlighted the transformations happening within the sector. This past year has seen office and work patterns transform drastically, with many claims that the office would not survive past lockdown. With these claims it gave rise to serious questions and considerations for the adaptability of the sector post covid. However, NLA’s report has highlighted the strength that the office still holds and how the pandemic has in fact accelerated trends already being introduced within the sector.

Society and office workers have continuously been demanding more from their spaces of work and employers have prioritised dynamic, adaptable and hybrid spaces in order to retain talent. With the report statistics stating that 77% of members wanted to keep hybrid working. What does this mean for the requirements of the office? What are the technical implications of building adaptable workspaces? How can designers and builders effectively create successful different multiuse spaces with dynamic amenities?

In this webinar, we hear from the team behind 60 London Wall, a recently completed 11 - storey office space in the City of London, to present the detailed design, specification and engineering of this building.

Detailed presentations from the project teams will go in depth into how this building has been designed and built.
