Temporary works are a fundamental requirement on almost every construction site. They enable contractors to build the main works.

The importance of managing temporary works effectively was highlighted following a number of historic failures. You may have heard of one of the most notable examples when falsework collapsed at Loddon Bridge in Reading in 1972.

As a result, the Bragg Report was published which set out recommendations for the technical, procedural and competencies that form the way we still manage temporary works today.

This temporary works CPD webinar is aimed at civil engineers and construction professionals to raise awareness of the role of temporary works in construction.
