Smart Stadium Ecosystems of the Future with Populous

CPD Events

Introducing the amazing world of Populous. Whilst the world is still getting used to the new way of working, RIBA South West wanted to look at some industries that have been affected by these new challenges to see how they are adapting to the changes. Join one of the world leaders in stadia design to discover some of their inspirational projects for sport and entertainment, and explore how future architects need to design for this sector.

Speaker
Maria Knutsson-Hall - Principal, Populous
Since joining Populous in 2013, Maria has been involved in the design and development of a number of UK Premier League facilities and has worked on concepts to attract more user groups to European stadia. She played a lead role on the development of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and led work on the Tottenham Hotspur Experience building. During her studies and professional life, Maria has also been interested in biomimicry, biophilia and integrating sustainable solutions into the built environment. Maria has a keen interest in teaching and is currently running a design studio at Populous, as well as being a Senior Teaching Fellow at The Bartlett School of Architecture.

This is a recording of a presentation that took place on 22 April 2021 as part of the UWE Bristol annual lecture series.
