Building upon the City’s ground-breaking lighting strategy published in 2018, this webinar will examine how new ground-breaking planning guidance will improve ‘look and feel’ and better control obtrusive light, light spill and light pollution, protecting the City’s local ecology and improving well-being for everyone after dark.
How can lighting play a key social and economic role in the future recovery whilst considering how the environmental impact it creates might be reduced? How can good lighting help keep our streets safe, secure and accessible at night? Are the latest LED technology and SMART lighting controls helping reduce energy?
Members will hear from experts in the field of light and night-time design on the future of light, and darkness, in the City of London.
