For the past five years building safety has been a central focus for construction as a whole, with no sector more affected than the housing industry. In the post-Grenfell world requirements around building safety have undoubtedly become more stringent for both new build and existing stock, with the responsibility falling to building owners, or more specifically in the social housing sector – housing associations.
