I know there's a topic in the Private Forums about Russian timber, but anyone who is sourcing timber (or other materials) coming from Russia or Belarus might want to read this:
https://ttf.co.uk/timber-development-uk-advises-members-to-cease-trading-with-russia-and-belarus/
So what does this mean , that any timber used now is uncertified , looks very subjective to me .
What happens next , uncertify timber that has already been used on projects ?

Hello,
I don't think that any timber already used on projects will become uncertified all of a sudden.
This is likely guidance going forward.

So something decent one day becomes useless the next . i am perplexed as to why tbh . trying to keep open mind but my logical mind is struggling, How do certification criteria change if the product is the same .
Although it looks that way to you, TTF are not changing certification requirements. They are simply classifying Russian and Belarusian timber as Conflict Timber, which means it is originating from a war zone.
You may want to check it out here:
This should help with confusion about whether the timber is certified or not
